Snow Peak

Sanjo, Japan · since 1958

Titanium cups, cookware and camp tools, light and plain, made to last decades.

Snow Peak comes from Sanjo, in Niigata, a town with a long trade in metalwork. Yukio Yamai, a climber, opened a metal shop there in 1958 to forge the pitons and crampons he could not buy. His son Tohru took the company into camping in the 1980s, and the headquarters now stands on its own campground outside Sanjo, with a third generation of the Yamai line in the firm.

The range runs from titanium cups, mugs and cookware to stoves, tableware, lanterns, tents and, since 2014, clothing. Much of the metalwork is still made in Sanjo. The pieces are plain and light, with few parts, and they are sold as things to keep for decades rather than to replace each season.

Why we stock Snow Peak

A titanium cup weighs less than the coffee in it and will outlive the bag it travels in. Snow Peak has made that kind of object for over sixty years, in a town that lives from metalwork, without redrawing the design to chase a season. On a desk, on a train or at a campsite, it is the same cup.

The first Snow Peak pieces arrive in Barcelona with Supply 001, in Oct 2026.
