Klättermusen

Åre, Sweden · since 1975

Packs and mountain clothing, mostly in recycled fabrics.

Klättermusen makes mountain equipment from Åre, in Jämtland, Sweden. It started in 1975 among a small group of climbers and grew into an outdoor company through the 1980s; it is still run from the mountains rather than from a capital.

Packs, bags and shell clothing are the core. The materials moved early and in public: the cotton has been organic since 2006, every backpack has used nylon made from recycled fishing nets since 2009, and in 2017 the whole collection went fluorocarbon-free, the first outdoor brand to do so. Each piece is meant to be repaired rather than replaced, and the brand runs its own repair service. Where a given piece is sewn is stated on its Origin passport.

Why we stock Klättermusen

A pack built to be repaired, in recycled nylon and without fluorocarbons, from a brand that changed its materials years before the rest of the trade. Day packs that work on a bike and in rain, not only on a mountain. The first maker here from outside Japan.

The first Klättermusen pieces arrive in Barcelona with Supply 001, in Oct 2026.
